I went to a lovely rustic farm shop yesterday, aptly called “The Farm Shop“, in Barnby Dun.   I can’t believe I’d been driving past on a regular basis ever since I moved to Doncaster but hadn’t ever gone in!

I ended up buying some delicious jam, a stunning piece of Venison Haunch Roast (The Farm Shop stock exotic meats from Kezie Foods) and some tasty Redcurrant Jelly to go with it.  The Farm Shop also stock a colourful array of beautiful fresh vegetables, as well as frozen, ready to cook, croissants, pain au raisins, pain au chocolat etc.  Well worth a trip.

As I enjoy buying and eating fresh local produce, I was very much looking forward to going to the Thorne Farmers’ Market this morning. Unfortunately, we went to Thorne, found the marketplace, but there was no market 🙁  If anyone knows if this has been moved to a different day or whether it has ceased to exist altogether, please let me know!  I hope it’s just moved to a different day as I’d love to try it out.
